Contract Archivist with Bon Secours Sisters Archive, Cork

Applications are invited from professionally qualified Archivists in Archives and Records Management for the post of Contract Archivist with the Bon Secours Sisters Archives, College Road, Cork.

The post is full-time with an initial contract of 24 months

Principal duties would include:

  • Management of preservation and conservation
  • Descriptive listing, arrangement, and indexing
  • Digitisation of selected records
  • Facilitating researcher access and answering queriesReview and development of policy and procedures

Minimum Qualifications required:
A primary degree with a postgraduate qualification in Archives and Records Management from a course accredited by a professional body (e.g. Archives & Records Association)
Membership of the Archives and Records Association
Salary Scale: Compliant with ARA recommendations
