Reporting to a Director of Service, the County Librarian (Divisional Manager, Culture Division) in Donegal County Council is charged with the responsibility for the planning and management of the Culture Division. This includes Library services, as well as Arts, Museum, Archives and Heritage Services for the Local Authority. This is a senior management role within the Local Authority.

An opportunity now exists in Donegal County Council for the position of County Librarian (Divisional Manager, Culture Division).

The County Librarian (Divisional Manager, Culture Division) holds responsibility for leading on policy implementation, service delivery and change management in a dynamic and goal driven environment. The role requires strong leadership, innovation, agility and a commitment to customer service, alongside a high level of professional library and management skills, which include a strategic and operational element while maintaining value for money.
