UCC wishes to appoint to the role of Digital Library Developer. Reporting to the Head of Research & Digital Services, UCC Library and working closely with colleagues in Library and IT Services, the Digital Library Developer will analyse evolving business needs, identifying and implementing appropriate technical solutions and integrations in line with UCC’s hierarchical approach to deploying of digital services: Configure, Extend, Buy, Build. As part UCC Library’s Digital Library Infrastructure team, and working closely with colleagues across the library, the Digital Library Developer will engage with stakeholders on Digital Transformation Initiatives, providing architectural analysis, software development, system administration skills in support of process automation and systems integration. In addition to enhancing existing user services, the post will have a particular focus on systems and processes for managing and making available digitised and born-digital content in the Library’s collections. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills in a small, multi-disciplinary team, to work with interesting cultural heritage materials, and to deliver innovative and compelling services to end-users.

Appointment may be made on the Admin III (Grade 6) Salary Scale: €51,042 – €60,941 (Scale B) / €48,585 – €57,991 (Scale A)
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
