Mount Sackville, Secondary School, Chapelizod, Dublin is looking to recruit a full-time qualified Librarian.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining and running our school Library. IT skillset is required.
Duties will include:
- Managing library stock.
- To work with the ICT manager on joint projects and activities.
- Management of the library technology equipment.
- Provide support for teachers with the English curriculum and Accelerated Reader – please see our website.
- Develop and work with a team of student librarians, leading and supervising their work.
- Participate in primary/secondary school transition activities ie showcasing the Library, booklists and so on.
- Assist the AEN department in the running of Literacy Interventions.
- Develop a culture of reading through activities, guest speakers, readers, competitions, book clubs etc.
- Supervision of students using the library for reading and study.
- Maintain a vibrant and creative atmosphere.
