Cataloguing Internship

The Library at the School of Celtic Studies invites applications for a 3 month internship commencing June 2018.
This internship is open to applicants who are recent library & information management graduates or who will be commencing the course this year.
The position will provide valuable experience of working on a retrospective cataloguing project.
The purpose of this internship opportunity is to assist the Library in their retrospective cataloguing project and to gain experience in cataloguing.
The internship will be for 3 months and the intern will receive training and mentoring.
The successful candidate will have:
- Recognised professional qualification in library & information services management or a place on the course this September
- Knowledge of cataloguing and classification
- Excellent IT skills and search skills
- Organised approach to managing project work
- Working proficiency in Irish desirable
Archive Internship
Commencing: June 2018

This position will provide valuable experience of working on a retrospective archiving project.
The purpose of this internship opportunity is to assist the Library in their retrospective cataloguing project and to gain experience in archive & records management.
The internship will be for 3 months and the intern will receive training and mentoring.
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of the principles underlying the theory and practice of the care and management of archives and records in all formats
- Excellent IT skills and search skills
- Organised approach to managing project work
- Working proficiency in Irish desirable
