The Property Registration Authority (PRA) is responsible for the registration of property transactions in Ireland and operates under the aegis of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.


To facilitate the ongoing development of records management within the organisation, the PRA is now seeking to recruit a suitably qualified information professional as Records Manager.


The Records Manager will manage the variety and complexity of records in the PRA through implementing and reviewing the PRA Retention and Disposal Schedule, designing systems, analysing business processes, designing classification schemes, undertaking records surveys, identifying requirements for record storage, contributing to business continuity and disaster preparedness policies.


The successful candidate must hold a qualification of at least level 8 on the National Framework of qualifications (NFQ) and hold post graduate qualification on the NFQ in archival studies/records management from a course accredited by the Archives and Records Association (UK & Ireland) or equivalent professional body in a jurisdiction outside Ireland or the U.K. In addition they will have experience and/or knowledge of best professional practice with regard to the management of records and archives and capable of managing in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
