Innovative Interfaces is looking for a Technical Writer for its Dublin office. Working closely with the development team in Ireland, this writer will create and maintain documentation for new and existing development. This writer also will work collaboratively with writers in the US office (in Emeryville, California) to maintain a software implementation manual and end-user documentation in support of the training department. This position requires an experienced and highly motivated individual that is able to grasp complex software and learn quickly.

Responsibilities:

      • Write clear, concise, and logically organized descriptions of system functions. Edit documentation for the same qualities.
      • Participate in the development process and act as advocate for end-users.
      • Manage ongoing, detailed documentation projects.
      • Address errors in documentation by researching edit requests through calls and making changes as appropriate.
      • Follow style guides and procedures.
      • Meet publication deadlines.
      • Work independently and with others.
      • Work effectively and accurately under pressure.

Required Qualifications:

        • BA or BS in a writing or computer technology field
        • Evidence of high level of writing and editing skills, and understanding of task-based documentation (writing samples)
        • 2 – 5 years technical writing experience
        • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
        • Experience using Madcap Flare, or similar authoring/publishing platform

Desired Qualifications:

        • Experience with UNIX, Perl, JavaScript, SQL, or library-related work. Experience with SCRUM or other Agile development methodology.
