UCC Library wishes to appoint to the role of User Experience & Services Librarian.
This is an exciting role leading on the design, delivery, and improvement of user services in a busy academic library environment. We are looking for an energetic, solutions-focused and creative manager, with an expectation of maintaining excellence, to join an award-winning, supportive, collaborative, cross-functional library team, dedicated to providing the best library services for our students and staff in UCC.
The post-holder will have responsibility for the provision and management of user services across UCC Library, both Boole and Brookfield. This includes management of the Customer Services Team, including the review, development and implementation of service policies and delivery models. In addition, s/he will actively participate in and lead on library-wide projects and related service development initiatives adopting UX principles of ideation, design and assessment of customer experiences. This will be an integral element of this role and the Engagement portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Engagement, the post-holder will be expected to work cross-functionally within the Library. Key relationships and stakeholders within UCC are the Student’s Union, Buildings & Estates, Student Experience, Information Technology (IT) Services, Learning & Teaching, Academic Services, and Recruitment & Admissions.

Appointment may be made on the Admin V Salary Scale: €43,252 – €53,301 (Scale B) / €41,186 – €50,732 (Scale A).
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
